NME Switch Module vs 3750?

Anyone know if the NME switch modules run the full Cat 3750 feature set? I’m thinking about picking one up for the lab since they are WAY cheaper than an actual 3750. I know they don’t have stack capabilities, but that’s OK.

What's the total cost when you add in the cost of the 2800 or 3800 to run it in? I saw some used 3750s go for $1100 on eBay last month.

I have a 2821 w/IP power supply already – That’s the only reason why I’m considering the NME (assuming the feature set is the same) - The NME-16ES-1G-Ps have been going for around $400-$500 on the bay of late.

According to Cisco's website they run the same IOS as a 3750. They even support stacking which is pretty cool. I don't see why anyone would use that feature for a switch module, but still pretty cool.

The NME-16ES-1G-P is also supported in the 2691. Grab one of those NMEs and a good deal on a 2691 would give you a relatively cheap 3750.

For anybody interested - the NME-16ES-1G does indeed do PVLANs:
