The Dells that come with Ubuntu are a lot cheaper at almost half the price. Wonder why their prices are so high with a free OS.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -

Not sure. The hardware is a little better I believe. -

Yeah they look to be better hardware, but not twice as good to justify the double price tag. I'm no hardware expert by far though so take that with a grain of salt.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

No I agree.
I think it could be the sec of people. This is being aimed at studuents/developers/admins. Those dell boxes were being aimed at more casual/thrifty users. Maybe they think developers have more money and students can use their parents credit cards

Workstation type graphics cards always cost... and those are quadros in some of them.
