What is Fixed Mobile Convergence? Is it applicable in business?

    It is indeed. For example, you could use a handheld device which would use cellular network where that is the best option, or wireless where that is best, switching seamlessly between the two.

    Per my CWNA Official Study Guide, page 376, it says that 802.11u could possibly 'address seamless handoff and session persistence with other external networks'.

    I had a look at the Fixed-Mobile Convergence Alliance site and they talk about 802.21. They say that they have been able to show seamless handovers of video and voice calls between 3G, Wi-Fi and WIBRO access technologies.
