What is the differences between the two?????

Mixed mode allows for backward comp. to NT Servers & its directory structure (user manager). Native mode is designed for 2000 or 2003 Servers and does not allow NT server to migrate its structure into the domain, thus allowing more options & features for the domain without NT. Once in Native mode you cannot go back to Mixed.
