NTP vs. SNTP
Would someone please tell me which the exam wants? Or maybe better put, which is common/normally used.
In two NET+ sources, I am told network time service is UDP port 37.
TechNotes says port 123 for NTP.
On some web pages, I have found them saying there are 2 protocols:
SNTP - Simple Network Time Protocol, port 37
NTP - Network Time Protocol, port 123
Clearly BOTH are valid !!!
Is SNTP mainly for UNIX servers?
What is the difference?
THANKS
NEVER MIND -- found more info today

Both are valid, but SNTP is all but gone
