640-801 Specifics: Switches and Hex

Hey everyone... I just went through a CCNA boot camp class (for the 640-801 exam) and my instructor said two things:
1) There won't be any Hex conversion on the exam
2) we only used the 1900 switch and commands - he said that the 2900 series would be implemented later but for now on the exam it's just the 1900 switch that is used.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? I've got study materials that contradict him so I want to know which is more accurate...

I took INTRO (640-821) in early Septmeber and there were a few (may 4 or 5) hex questions, both binary to hex and hex to decimal

Yes, you expect these type of questions in the INTRO exam..

What about the 1900... any1 got the 2950 switch in the 801?

I took the beta INTRO exam last year and I can't remember getting any questions that were specific to a switch series.

Demonstrate the mathematical skills required to work seamlessly with integer decimal, binary and hexadecimal numbers and simple binary logic

Hmmm this may be true for the 821 exam but I was wondering for 640-801 exam (the combined exam)...

Well, if someone guaranteed that you wouldn't get any hex conversions, they're misleading you. Unless you get very lucky with the question pool, there will be questions on binary, hex, and decimal conversion. Know how to do all three. (hex to dec, bin to dex, hex to bin)

As for specific switch models, I didn't see any that were specifically 1900 or 2900 or otherwise
