I would have to respectfully disagree with you on this. I have found that while building a high-end PC yourself is cheaper, low-end PCs are cheaper from some of the major retailers, unless you are able to reuse most of your old PC.
That being said, the low-end PCs (in my experience) are more hassle than they are worth. Personally, I build a fairly heavy-duty rig every 3-4 years because I want a higher-end computer without the expense (relatively speaking).WIP: MCITP: EA
