Weird VPN Issue

NightShade03NightShade03 Member Posts: 1,383 ■■■■■■■□□□
So have some users that work from home with laptops and only come into the CO a few times a year. Needless to say they are using cached credentials. The problem is that their home drives are mapped (via AD profile) and when they VPN in and try to access their home drives or any windows share for that matter they are being prompted to press ATL+CTRL+DEL to lock the computer and put in their valid credentials. Problem is that doing this doesn't work and unless I change their domain password to match their cache credentials password (and I still need to remap the drives manually) the shares don't work. Any one else have this problem?

All clients are windows XP
All servers are Windows 2008
VPN client is cisco

You can configure the Cisco VPN client to start before logon, which would then allow the user to change or sync their cached password with their current domain password.

I have also changed my password during a VPN session (after logging in with cached credentials) and was later prompted by Windows to supply my current credentials.
