I would say Sec+ is worth picking up. Plus S+ counts as an elective for the MCSE.
Security+ is recognized by several cert vendors, including Microsoft and (ISC)2, and for HIPAA and DoD work as well. It's also a good intro into InfoSec in general as preparation for more professional certs.

depends on what you do, what you want to do, or what your employer/prospective employers may be more interested in.
If you're going to work an IT helpdesk or something, then stay with windows. If you're going to be a security consultant or networking guy, maybe sec+.
Though I generally have a very low opinion of CompTIA, the Security+ does show up in a lot of job listings I see and I agree with JDmurray that its a good intro to the world of InfoSec.
Even if you dont want to be a true InfoSec person, having a foundational knowledge of security concepts will be invaluable.

I agree too However I have a high opinion of Comptia certs, not as high as others, but high enough.
This comparison is apples and oranges. Security+ is an entry-level security certification for people, while ISO 27002 is part of the ISO 27000 international security standard for organizations. If you are a consultant with the ability to audit organization for ISO 27000/27001/27002 compliance, you are probably earning more than someone who only has a Security+ cert.

CompTIA Security+ or Information Security Foundation based on ISO/IEC 27002 (http://www.exin-exams.org/exams/exam-program/iso-iec-27000/isfs.aspx)?
