skrpune Member Posts: 1,409I used it for 290 and loved it. The videos are a bit boring (the speakers could be a little more engaging and lively, they've got nothing on CBT Nuggets in that department), but they're very informative and pretty damn comprehensive. The package is great - videos, demonstrations, labs, and quizzes/exams. If you're a student, you can get each module for WAY cheap too - about $100 with shipping.Currently Studying For: Nothing (cert-wise, anyway)

The teachers of the other subjects are kinda average though. -

The only gripe I had was I thought the instructors talked too slowly in the videos with the default settings; however, once I found out you can increase the audio and video speeds from within the program, that was no longer an issue for me.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModI really like TestOut as a product, I've used them for pretty much every exam I've taken. I like the format, running through the lessons as if though it was a full-blown class, and the print-out notes are very handy. I'm a big fan of using TestOut and/or CBT Nuggets as additional study material to complement a book and hands-on practice.

Zartanasaurus Member Posts: 2,008 ■■■■■■■■■□It's the most comprehensive training program that I've seen (CBTNuggets, TestOut, MS-Press, Sybex).
All the lessons are broken up into short videos + sims with quizzes at the end. Definitely recommended for the ADHD crowd. I don't think it's possible to find more boring instructors this side of Ben Stein. Complete 180 of CBT Nuggets instructors (who can be annoying at times, especially the Network+ guy).
If you were looking to purchase just one product to do your training without supplemental testing or learning material, I'd probably recommend TestOut. Personally I prefer CBT Nuggets + MS Press or Sybex.
They cover all the material adequately and one area where they stand out from other training material are the sims. They are just like the sims you'd get on a real MS exam and are great practice. Only real knock on them IMO is their testing software. It's basically just a summary of all the quizzes from the material and there's no variety once you've done the exams once. MS Press has the adaptive mode which hammers you on subjects you don't know adequately and creates a unique test each time, much like a real MS test.
At any rate, I'd feel comfortable recommending TestOut to someone for cert studies.Currently reading:
