Not what I expected.

I sat the security+ exam today after studying for about a month. I used Syngress study guide 3rd edition. Transcenders for study questions and some home made flash cards. I felt a little underwhelmed with the experience though. Almost let down. It's a lot of material covering a wide range of topics. I passed with an 865 and don't get me wrong I'm not complaining about it. I guess I expected it to be harder, poorly worded, and have a few trick questions. Like some of the other CompTIA exams I've taken. This one was very straight forward, the questions actually made sense and I didn't have any trick questions. Oh well, time to relax and have a few beers.

I found the test to be easier than what I had expected too.

I had a similar experience when I took Security+ back in 2005, the proctor blinked as he saw me come out of the testing room and asked "are you done already?!?"

Congrats on the pass, now you'll something extra to celebrate during the New Year's festivities.
