Final and A+ core test this week

Hi all I am new to this forum, I am taking an A+ class now. I have been around computers for about 10 yrs now,, but never got down to the nitty gritty with them.. Some of the things I am haveing problems with are memorizing the I/O addresses and DMA's I was hoping you all could give me some pointers or tips on how to memorize these better icon_wink.gif
Also I have not had to much luck in locating the DMA alocations on this site are there any?

    Write them down 400x. Read them. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

    there's no real formula, I hate to say. Just memorize the buggers.

    There is a trick to the serial port addresses.. i just don't remember it. :D A lot of real world usefulness there... As for DMA and IRQ's... that's just it-- memorize. Again, more real world usefulness. ACPI, PnP and USB makes it almost a moot point.
    I'm not a complete idiot... some parts are missing.
