I ordered 2 2610xm routers and 2 2950 switches.

How do I connect them together to make a simulation network? Serial?

You connect them however you want. Make the topology that suits your current topic.

Thanks for the replies. I just received my Wendell Odom book today. I just can't wait to become a hyper networking genius.

Cables you will need: serial cable (DCE-DTE) to connect routers, ethernet cable (crossover and straight through) to connect the rest. You will need a WIC-1T cards for each 2610xm if it doesn't come with one.
