70-270 test tomorrow

flatworldflatworld Member Posts: 89 ■■□□□□□□□□
I've studed for it for maybe 1 week, material used:

Exam Cram 2 (latest revision)
Exam Cram 2 (Practice questions)
All of the resources on this website for 70-270
CBT Nuggets Videos.

Experience:
5.5 years of network administration, windows 2003 network, 95% of the clients were XP over the years, few vista/7.

Main areas I've been brushing up on is RIS/unattended installations, auditing.

Any other tips? I hope this test goes well. I've read a few threads here that state you have to remember "GUI" specifics in the head, question like:
Click this tab, then tab tab, then this checkbox etc...and they might throw you off on purpose with a typo that was placed on purpose.......

Will post score tomorrow.
Next up: OSCP

You're going to do great. Some questions regarding the QUICKEST way to admin some functions of Winxp might come up.. For example, user account creation, it would be better to hit MMC console than going through control panel.

Interested to see your score, you should blow it out of the water!

    653/700 - failed.

quiet/passive installation, goofed my memory on that one.

Lots of questions regarding unattended installation, placements of files in folders.

Networking scenarios, with vpn users. Accessing resources.

Mixing/matching of ntfs permissions, and shared permissions conflicting..
    Powermanagement alerts/options for laptops etc.

I studied only for a week, thinking I would ace it.
I'll take it again in two weeks.........oh well! :)
    A few sys prep questions.

I'm sure you'll do better the second time around....
do you think it was the study material or did you just need to give yourself with that material?
