Ghost work with USB HDD?
Finally got my problem user's computer to boot and stay booted. I do suspect some HDD issues, and need to get this stuff onto another computer.
Does the current version of Ghost allow making a ghost image of his current HDD to a usb portable drive, then allow that drive to copy onto the new laptop (same make and model). Trying to keep any potential downtime to a minimum.

unfortunately I know Ghost 12 and 14 require Ghost to be actually installed before you can make a backup.
Ghost Solutions Suite (cheaper) on the other hand, your boot disc allows you to make recoveries AND backups. same thing with acronis.
if you already have his machine up and running, why not just take off whats important and put it on a usb hdd?CompTIA: A+ / NET+ / SEC+
