Ok, so i'm in the process of building a home lab to screw around with. I'm lookin to setup a 3 switch 3 router lab. So far here's what I have:
-3 2950-12s I picked up on craigslist for $25/each with a console cable(which looks to be a friggin steal compared to what I find on ebay)
Now I just need to figure out the router situation. I've been looking at getting them from cisco kits. I've been eye-balling the 3640 and 2 26xx routers.
Cisco 3600 Routers
Since uncle Sam is paying for this price isn't the biggest issue but i'd like to keep it between $400-$500 for everything(including what i've purchased). In order to use SDM I would need the 3640 with 128/32 right? Also, this isn't for sure yet but I think after the CCNA i'm going to go after the CCNA voice so i'd like something that has some forward compatibility with that. Any advice on what to do for the router situation? What other 2 routers should I be looking at? I don't think any of those come with modules either so which modules should I be looking at?
