Asante Switches?
The other day I was looking a new switch for my home network. I came across the Asante FriendlyNet GX6-2400W, it appears to have a lot of features for the price, but I've never heard of the company before and there is very little information online. Has anybody here had any experience with them?
I'm just curious, I'll probably end up buying a ProCurve for my apartment.

If you don't care about all of the features and just want a solid gigabit switch for the home, I would look into one of these if you want something by HP that is inexpensive:
Newegg.com - HP J9078A 10/100/1000Mbps ProCurve Switch 1400-24G 22 x auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Port 2 dual-personality 8000 entries MAC Address Table 500 KB Packet Buffer Buffer Memory - Switches
We use these in some of our small branch offices and they work well. -

Since I haven't worked with HP network gear before it would be nice to have a switch that would be both functional and useful for learning. I was trying to decided between the silence of a 1800 or the features of a 2800, I'm hoping I didn't make the wrong choice.
