Voice Lab

Hello everyone I am new to CCNA Voice, but have decided to put together a CCNA voice lab equipment, something that will also usable for CCNP: Voice, do you guys mind telling me the list of equipment I need to fully simulate CCNA Voice.

I currently have 2 x 3940 2 x 3960 IP Phones.

Assuming you are competely new to voice then if you are not in a rush to get the lab then take your time, there are loads of things to get your head around hardware wise.

Which exam are you looking to to take to get the CCNA Voice? The CVoice or the IIUC, they have different lab requirements.

For now I would be looking to get a one router capable of running call manager express, something like a 1760 with a DSP / PVDM. They are pretty versatile but take ages to boot.

    Hi,

Have a look at my post...

I think it covers most of the CCNA Voice questions for a home lab (IIUC track).

I can definitely agree with Mike about the 1760's, they make great entry level voice routers and they do take a long time to boot. But the boot-time = coffee-time. I had mine kitted out with both E1 and T1 (really needed if doing CCVP later) as well as FXS, FXO and E&M as required, and a PVDM-256K-20 for my DSP's.
