Browsing through stickies and some pages, I am interested in a continually up-to-date recommended hardware list for the lab.
What would be great would be a minimum recommended config, a decent set up, and a high end set up.
Any suggestions?
Discussions on current pricing would be great, etc.
Entry Level Lab:
1
2
3
Mid Level Lab:
1
2
3
4
High End Lab:
1
2
3
4
5
etc

Here's a link to Wendell Odoms CCNA Lab post at NetworkWorld.com (that needs a serious update since 1900 were obsolete and mostly useless for a CCNA lab long before it was originally published) -- CCNA Lab Main Post Summary | NetworkWorld.com Community
In Part 7, switches, the 1900s shouldn't even really be a cheap option. For $1 it may be worth it as a 4th switch to watch it win root bridge elections. A 2924XL-EN is fine as a 3rd switch -- as long as it's under $20. And 2950s can currently be found for $50 (or less) -- I just picked one up for $31 because the price was too good to pass up.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

He updated it last year and the 1900s are indeed gone: Spring 2009 CCNA/CCNP Lab Series Index Page | NetworkWorld.com Community
