Passed Security+

bwcartybwcarty Member Posts: 422 ■■■□□□□□□□
Score: 880/900

Resources:
plenty of firsthand experience
Darril's book (especially the Crypto chapter)
Self Test Software practice test

Next cert will likely be Project+, but I have a few non-cert based classes to wrap up for WGU first.

    Congratulations. That's a great score.

    Glad the book helped.

Good luck on the Project+ test. I understand it's much easier than the Security+ exam.

Thanks everyone. I also just realized that this is my second security elective for Microsoft, so my MCSA is now MCSA:Security.

Now just I have to go back and take 70-298 to upgrade the MCSE to MCSE:Security....guess I'll make that my next test.

Good luck. Hopefully the questions will make more sense to you than your sig line makes to me:)

Thanks for the update, but you've prompted a question-- does WGU expect a score over passing, or will passing suffice?
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

All you need to do is pass the exam to receive credit for the course. There's no GPA calculated at WGU, so your score doesn't matter to them.
