Ethical Hacking Workshops - March 24th and March 27th, 2010
Presented by the Upstate SC ISSA Chapter (Upstate SC ISSA)
In today's networked environments, system and network administrators alike
must be aware of the techniques used by outside parties to gain access to
their business systems. Whether conducted by legitimate system auditors
or malicious third-parties, every IT professional should be familiar with
these techniques to be able to detect malevolent attacks that might (and
will) take place in the future or allow knowledgeable individuals to
perform their own system auditing as part of any proactive Security
Management platform.
Each individual session covers the individual phases involved in
conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, including:
Information Gathering
- Network Mapping
- Vulnerability Identification
- System Penetration
- Privilege Escalation
- Maintaining Access
Additional areas of security that will be covered (based on time
considerations) includes:
- Web Application Analysis
- Wireless Network Analysis
- Digital Forensics
Sessions will be held at Windstream Communications in Downtown Greenville:
- Wednesday, March 24th - 5:30PM to 9:30PM
- Saturday, March 27th - 8:30AM to 12:30PM
Each four-hour session is free to ISSA members and $25 to non-members.
Please register for the workshops as early as possible to reserve your
seat as seating is limited and these events typically fill up very
quickly! To register for one of the workshops, or if you have any
questions or concerns, please Email webmaster@upstate-issa.org.
