Hi all,
Been playing with encryption lately, lots of fun.
Basically I am looking to encrypt.
My main hard drive on PC (2 Partitions)
External hard drive (3 Partitions)
USB (With which I need to be able to open it on other machines with locked down admin rights)
Anyone know a good one?
I am currently running win 7.
Also is Ubuntu encrypted by default?

Correction, it is the best friend that you've always wanted to sleep with and finally get to.
Currently using it on 3 laptops. -

No, and TC doesn't support full-disk encryption on Linux, but there are other ways to go about it. -

I recommend quadruple ROT13 as the encryption algorithm... -
Cheesewaffle Member Posts: 20 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks for the advice guys.
Just had a hiccup though;
1. Encrypted one of the partitions on my external. (Worked fine)
2. Decided to try and encrypt my main partition (where windows lies).
3. Decided to back up my main partition before I tried to encrypt it (using the encrypt in place option in True Crypt)
When I tried to use Windows backup to make a backup image on my encrpyted partition it would not work as Windows backup could no longer see the drive (even though the drive was mounted and I could see it by going into my computer)
Any ideas?
Cheers -

+3 for TrueCrypt. We have encrypted all of our company laptops and haven't had any issues. -
