Alright so I tried out the erase startup-config. There was alot of junk in there that I didn't use. I made sure that I saved a copy of that configuration. I made a new configuration and saved that as 3640router-confg-new to the tftp server on my desktop. Then I found an IOS on the flash card that my 3640 has so I tried to boot into that and now I can't get back to the old IOS that's actually on the router. The laptop that is connected by roll over cable is now giving me all these errors of trying to open configuration files from my tftp server!!! It actually loaded a configuration file from the server by itself!!! Now (as in right now as I type) it's looking for other config files. "Error opening t
ftp://255.255.255.255/network-confg" and cisconet.cfg timed out. Now I can't even copy any IOS into the tftp server from the 3640. I was able to copy the IOS off the 2621 at 14kbps. Why so slow over fastethernet?? Does anyone have any ideas what I messed up??? Everything worked fine before I tried to boot from the IOS on the flash card.
