Can anyone talk to me about the rules regarding the entry of networks into the routing table. Syntax etc.

Consider also classless addressing.

    R-21(config)#router eigrp 10
(atonomous system number, make sure it matches on all routers sharing routes)
    R-21(config-router)#network 192.168.1.0
(put you're network's you wish to advertise, can use classful, wildcard masks and subnet mask to be specific)
    R-21(config-router)#no auto-summary
(turns off summarization for use of vlsm with discontigous networks)
    ICND1 - Passed 25/01/10
    ICND2 - Passed 9/03/10
