I passed the Beast Jr. today with a 735. That was too close for comfort!

The study materials I used were the Syngress book and Transcender, along with help from Techexams! :)

I'll be preparing for 294 starting next month. How is 294 compared to 293?
Next up: 100-101 ICND1 :study:

    Good work on beating the beast. As for the 294 is takes concepts from the others exams so if you learned and are going in order you will be right on track. I used Transcender and had alot of real world experience and found that it is not that bad.
    The more knowledge one obtains the more there is too accumulate.....

    I also built an entire test lab and deployed RIS, WSUS, IPsec, group policy processing etc in VMware while I studied so I could do what I was learning and reinforcing. Lab time makes the hours of studying make alot of Ah-Ha moments.
    The more knowledge one obtains the more there is too accumulate.....

    Nice job on the pass. The 294 is heavy on AD, GPOs. take your time and practice the labs on this one.

    Great job. I found 293 to be the most tiring exam due to the length of the questions. The material was not too bad, but the exam wore me out.

    294 was IMHO the hardest exam of the 7 I took for the MCSE. The questions seemed to be very quirky and many of them seemed to have 2 equally "correct" answers. It was big on GPO stuff so if you know that well it should not be too hard.

    I used MS Press book and the CD with that book along with Transcender. It prepared me well for this test.

    Thanks! It took me about 2 hours and 45 minutes to get through the 63 questions.

    I live near Dayton. How about you?
