Windows XP Crashed

i am Network Administrator. my one lab pc having windows XP showing a message "unmounted_disk_volume" ,what is the problem with my system can any one tell me the solution for this problem?

From my own experience, that could simply mean XP can't mount your HDD ...possible cause : MRB corrupt. Or it could just be a head crash and your HDD is crap. It's kinda hard to say without more info like how it happened or what you did before that happened.

first i would check the bios to make sure the drive even shows up in there

well, i've never seen that. was it a boot error with blue screen? -> if yes then your MBR is corrupt - try to repair using your win xp bootable cdrom / recovery console / ERD, if not then you can try using disk management and refresh/rescan the disk.
