JNCIP OSPF area-range & EBGP Route Aggregation
In JNCIP exam book R 6 & R7 connects to rip router.
R6---Rip
172.16.40.0/30
R7---Rip
172.16.40.4/30
These routes are summarize on R5 as follows
area 0.0.0.20 {
area-range 172.16.40.0/28;
How come it is summarized by using /28 mask?
Also in EBGP case study these routes are redistributed in IBGO using /29 mask.

Aldur Member Posts: 1,460Does the book really show a /28? I guess that would work but a /29 is definitely the better choice since it's more specific.
