So, if you switch to the regular IT, you don't have to do Tech Writing/Capstone again? What about the MTA foundation courses? Would you have to do those to?
I was just curious as to how that worked. After my second 643 fail, I was somewhat considering the transfer as well for like 1-3 seconds. But one of my concerns was whether or not I'd have to do Tech Writing/Capstone again. (No worries, I'm not switching...in fact, I'm hoping this will all be over soon enough! ) -

I may have forgotten, so bear with me-- I remember there used to be a link at the bottom of the page. Am I forgetting a step, or two, or ninety?Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

No MTA exams since it is based on the program when you started. (i.e. August 2010) from my understanding. Since the generic degree is a "catch all" pretty much anything counts on the capstone. I could have argued that my capstone had a lot to do with security and networking, but it is not worth the effort. Everything with the change seems to be moving at a snail's pace and I just want to get finished. I don't know if any of this is concrete because I seem to get different answers from different people, but that is where it stands now.WGU grad -

They used to let you save .PDFs of the chapter you were reading. I don't see that any more.Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

erpadmin Member Posts: 4,165 ■■■■■■■■■■Well guys...IT'S OVER!!!!
This is the first time I'm posting here before my ERPADMIN MCITP:EA thread (though I'll be over there too...). But I'm officially an MCITP:EA. That concludes both getting an MCITP:EA and the WGU Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology: Network Design and Management degree.
I can't thank Techexams.net enough, but if there is one guy who should be publicly thanked, it's hands down veritas_libertas. Had it not been for him, I would have never done my own independent research to see if Western Governors University was in fact legit (and not just with accreditation, but how respected the degree was and not to mention the coursework, if any.) As current students no doubt realizes, including the many I've referred, WGU is actual work. Most importantly, the degree is respected, as I can attend a Regionally Accredited institution! [Even Ivy League, and I'm not talking about extension schools...the real deal!!]
I'm so happy right now. Throughout my WGU experience, I've met so many people from a variety of backgrounds from all over the country! The one thing that unites all of us is that we shared the same goal. I believe demonfurbie said it best in his 1000 post thread, if it weren't for you guys, I would have NEVER attended or I would dare say completed WGU. Between WGU, WGU Student Services, and you guys and this thread, this thread BY FAR was my best resource. I was able to sidestep a lot of issues because I had prior knowledge based on someone else's experiences (like mentor availability).
Seriously...I'm tearing right now. I'll discuss the BHV1 pass in greater detail in my MCITP:EA thread, but I just wanted to publicly thank ALL of you for sharing your experiences and helping each other achieve a lifelong dream!! WGU doesn't have to be Harvard or Yale...in fact it is no different than a Tier/Division III state school. I can't wait until my diploma arrives so that I can place it in my frame. I'm just so happy that it's all over....and it feels so surreal right now.....
Techexams.net rocks!!! Seriously, please keep both WGU sticky threads current for the next generation of students. Also, when things are looking bleek...that's when you work even harder!!! You have to keep pushing until that class/cert is done!! I don't want to even get into what I was (seriously) comtemplating if I had failed the 643 today. (No not that bad....but I promise it wouldn't have been very good.) I'm just so happy right now.
Keep pushing guys!! It's all on you now! -

I bought the diploma frame a couple of months ago. It arrived a couple of weeks ago. I haven't even opened the box yet as I didn't want to jinx it. I also bought the regalia which is hanging in my closet.
I will be in Atlanta...I think it's time I formally request the time. I gave my bosses a head's up that I would need a couple of days in February. I wasn't going to go to Atlanta just for commencement. Want to take in the sites. -

I literally can't wait for my transcripts to be read as 100% done!
As for the diploma...I've waited a good 10-12 years for a college diploma...another few weeks won't be so bad...but I know I will still cry when it's in my house in its proper frame. -

If you have experience, I would check the Exam Study Guide listed at the bottom of the page in the Certification Partners Self Study section. That is the only thing I studied for the HTML portion of WFV1 and passed with a 28/30 on the HTML part. -
lenell86 Member Posts: 75 ■■■□□□□□□□anyone know if they have submitted a IT exam past the 25th? I know the policy states it has to be in by the 25th or there is no guarantee it will be added to your transcript, but I plan on taking ICND2 last week of Jan, so I dunno if I should take it before the 25th and rush it or spend more time cramming and schedule late in Jan. My term ends 1/31.
Also if I fail it, will WGU give me another voucher if its past the 25th?Certifications complete: A+, Net+, Security+, MCTS 70-401, MCSA
Currently working towards: MCSE (70-293)
