snokerpoker Member Posts: 661 ■■■■□□□□□□I just passed the INC1 Objective exam today! Wow, this exam was very difficult for me. I am so happy with the pass! Now I can REALLY enjoy this weekend. I recommend going through and focusing on the COS material. I read the entire book and found that the COS was quite good on narrowing down the subject matter for the test. I also discovered this site --->
Visionlearning for additional reading. Good luck to anyone taking this exam and their studies at WGU. -

themagicone Member Posts: 674Well I started studying for INC1 about a month ago. Just got 61% on one of the pre assessments. My final is a week from Monday. Going to cram all week on things that I missed and hope for the best.
I really think they should break the class in two. Physical and then Earth science or something like that. There is way too much info to cover in this one class.Courses Completed at WGU: JIT2, LYT2, TFT2, SJT2, BFC2, TGT2, FXT2

A lot of people seem to have problems with this, I saw several fail the exam 2 or 3 times while I was studying for it.
It really is a great class though, I felt like I had learned so much by the time I finished. -
earweed Member Posts: 5,192 ■■■■■■■■■□I've already completed 21 CU's this term (Sec+, Javascript, 70-640, and 70-642) and trying to see if I can scrape out 70-643 before terms end. I'm gonna have to do some heavy study to be ready before the cut date for adding new classes. This term ends Aug 31 and the cut date for adding a class is July 30.
That's 25 days for 75% of the material (which is completeley new to me) and here I've been enjoying today outside with the family barbequing with all this studying that needs to be done...lolNo longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -
asurania Member Posts: 145Really Enjoying WGU, and 4 days in.
Pretty finished studying for IT Fundumentals 1 - using Vcampas and Measureup..and just started using Skillsoft to study for project+ (using work skillsoft). Should probaly be ready to write both exams in two weeks.
Just waiting for Javascipt LR to come in the mail, so once i finish with project+ can start studing for that exam.
Hope to have all 3 courses done by end of this month.
Just a FYI I spening 3 to 5 hours a day studing -
earweed Member Posts: 5,192 ■■■■■■■■■□For your JavaScript course check out the study guide at MC MCSE: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, CCNA, A+, Network+, CIW, and Linux Certifications it's really helpful. I could have almost passed the test just using it. The JavaScript fundamentals test will actually test you less on your programming/scripting abilities and more on your knowledge of the language.
I did all the programming exercises and felt, after taking the test, that I had done a lot of work for nothing.
Unless you plan to take an additional CIW test on your own to get the JavaScript Specialist then you could probably get by just reading the book, using the study guide, and taking the practice tests on VCampus. The W3cschools tutorials are good for the course too.No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -
tpatt100 Member Posts: 2,991 ■■■■■■■■■□Started EWB yesterday. Was gone out of town all weekend due to the 4th of July. I think I am going to take the full 6 months for the first term. It depends how I feel after my first class which is networking fundamentals which ends with Network+ (yawn). I might knock that out quickly since I regularly review network essentials in case a potential interview might pop up.
I got the CISA exam scheduled which I signed up for last year. So I want to kick that out in December so I can focus on the CEH related classes next term which is the stuff I really want to do which is technically related vs all this CISA/CISSP wordy junk. -
petedude Member Posts: 1,510Finished the Project+, waiting for it to clear so I can meet SAP and move on to other things.Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

I passed the 70-680, and now have the Microsoft bug I think I will be taking the 70-685 by the end of this month -
petedude Member Posts: 1,510Congrats on passing the Project+. What are you planning to take next?
Thanks. Looks like ORC1 will be up next. Using a Robbins text instead of the listed one, as it's much slimmer (300 pages or so) and I already had it (was planning to take DSST Organizational Behavior for another program).Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

I just passed ORC1 about an hour ago. Follow the Course of Study and base your notes around their objectives and you'll be fine.
All I have left is my Portfolio, which is due before 8/15. I'm planning to add the Capstone and finish my degree before October -- a full term earlier than expectedUsus magister est optimus -

earweed Member Posts: 5,192 ■■■■■■■■■□On the first page of the COS there's the option to save as PDF. I usually save mine to my desktop. No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

tomahawkeer Member Posts: 179Im a little pissed atm.
Ive been going through the SkillSoft LR for WFV1 (CIW Associates) and that works great and all, however, every other learning resource that I currently have access to, is basically nothing but test questions. The V-campus has a crap ton of them, and it refers to a LOT of lessons that you would have went through to take the exams that they have, however, I apparently do not have access to them.
What am I missing? Have I missed a learning resource someplace, that provides more than just quizzes / practice tests / questions etc? ive been completely through the SkillSoft and can get 85% on the tests they provide (and passed the exam force pre-assessment cert test) without studying, but the information within V-campus seems MUCH broader and ive yhet to see where any of it was covered. -

asurania Member Posts: 145So Two courses down....EWB and IT fundumental 1....passed it today....
that was the most messed up exam....way to basic that it gets confusing -
themagicone Member Posts: 674Don't use that crap on Examforce. It's questions aren't on the test and after going through 1 pass you have them memorized. VCampus is your best bet. If you can pass at 85% on Vcampus, take the final. The final proctored test requires only 62% to pass.Courses Completed at WGU: JIT2, LYT2, TFT2, SJT2, BFC2, TGT2, FXT2

I haven't gotten the books yet. I did get my A+ and Net+ books, but still waiting on the CIW book(s).
I have not used exam force yet, however I have used Measure up (once) for the pre-assessment, and passed it. My biggest LR that ive been using (since I dont have the books yet) has been Skill Soft, since, well, its pretty much the only thing that explains anything I have to use other than practice tests / questions etc. Was Skill Soft useful for the class for you? There is some videos on V-campus, and they don't seem to be all that great either.
Neither of these 2 LRs seem to scratch the surface on the questions that ive seen on the V-campus tests so far. They seem to be much more indepth and much broader in spectrum. -

I got one about 6 months after completing EWB. My flash drive is only 1GB, but it's still coolUsus magister est optimus -
Hyper-Me Banned Posts: 2,059Well im at 23 CU's passed and 100% completion for my first semester right now.
Only 50% through the semester, too. Looking to knock out at least 2 more classes before my time is up.
