What type of Technician / Engineer are you?

neathneathneathneathneathneath Member Posts: 438
I've come across many types of people on this forum and at work and find this forum invaluable. Compare yourself with regards your experience:

e.g. 40% MS Certs / 50% Practical Experience / 10% Google

i.e. 40 /50 /10

How would you rate yourself :)

    10% certs, 60% experience, 30% Google

My certs were useful to me years ago, when I was still starting out, so they taught me a lot... now, not so much.
The beginning of knowledge is understanding how little you actually know.

10% certs/formal education, 70% experience, 20% Google, plus an extra 100% of pure awesomeness, for which there is no charge.

10% certs, 60% experience, 20% Google finesse, and 10% being really good at putting up with peoples b.s.

Of course the above statement is the 100% self-inflated ego driven tech part of me speaking so who really knows.

Well, I'm a hands on IT manager. It's hard for me to rate myself as I certify on what I do, but use google/books to refresh my knowledge when needs must and when I'm studying...

    Go figure (I can't) :)
