Second Interview Monday @ 2pm

Hello all,

I just wanted to let everybody know that I will be interviewing for a Systems admin position that has been vacant for the last 8 months. I have picked up most of the responsibilities and doing some aspects of the job for that time. The first interview was last week and involved my CTO and a member of HR. It went well because I was called back for the 2nd interview. There are 3 of us interviewing, 2 outside candidates and me. Part of the 2nd interview includes my coworkers being part of the final interview and they all get to ask a question of the interviewee's. So for this round I interview with my CTO, HR, Supervisor, 2 network engineers, web designer, DBA, application specialist and the 5 other PC/Lan Techs. Needless to say I'm a little worried as to what they are going to ask me. The good thing is they have to ask the same question to each candidate. Has anybody had a panel interview like this? There are 13 people on the other side of the table. At least I know all of them.

I'll update you with my results.

Jeff

    Good luck!
No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

Just try to remain calm and composed. If you fudge something try to move past it. If they know your prior background/certs, they shouldn't expect you to everything.

I don't know what to say. I think i did well, but I doubt i'll get it. Since I know the infrastructure and current setup it was hard not to give examples on what is currently being done. I had to rely upon experience from previous companies and explain what I did there and give examples. I sat in the waiting room and saw the last guy who interviewed. His took an hour, mine was 25 minutes. I'll know by Friday. Wish me luck. Now, back to studying for the SSCP.
