70-648 MCSA Upgrade Question

Just a quick question. If I take and pass the 70-648, does that make me a MCTS?

That's what it looks like to me. That's basically a combination of 70-640 and 70-642.

yes, you get both 70-640 and 70-642.

Did it recently myself.

Specifically you will have an MCTS in:

Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration

You also have credit toward the MCITP:
MCITP: Server Administrator
MCITP: Enterprise Administrator

Thanks guys! Thats what I figured, but thought I'd ask since I was getting conflicting info. They should add 70-648 to the list I was looking at here:

Microsoft Learning: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

Going to tackle MCITP: EA.

No they shouldn't as there is no separate MCTS for passing 70-648.

70-648 grants you equivalent credit to passing 70-640 and 70-642; you are therefore awarded the credentials you get for passing those.

Credit Toward Certification
When you pass Exam 70-648: TS: Upgrading from Windows Server 2003 MCSA to, Windows Server 2008, Technology Specializations, you complete the requirements for the following certification(s):

• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
