Failed 70-680 with 615

Today I failed the 70-680 exam with 615 points

Good thing I got a free retry! On the paper I got there are 2 fields that I failed, Configuring hardware and applications (failed miserably) and configuring network connectivity (almost passed).

How do they score the examn, if you fail 1 section then you're totally failed or how do they get to that number? Also, do you lose points when you're wrong?

Haven't scheduled the free retry yet but I'll be studying soon again, it expires in June!

If you fail one section you will not fail the exam. The exam is points based and you need to score 700 or over. The sections are what the exam is based on and the score sheet at the end just gives you a clue as to what areas you should improve in. This is a guide only.

I am studying for this exam and I read so often that the people are failing the first time, I know that I have two shots, but I never like to comeback for the same exam. I failed security+ and I did not like it, so I will need to make sure that I know the material (deeeeeeep)

Good luck on your next try , make sure to study the books well especially Ms press one it's really good and should be enough. I've passed the exam and got 850 i only had marks less in installation/deployment and i know if i studied even harder i would've got better marks. good that you have a free try.
