A+ and Net+ Upgrade

Hey all,

Maybe somebody can help me. I remember reading a few months back about some certifications that are similar to A+ and Net+ that you can pay a fee and send your CompTIA credentials to get this companies credentials. Anybody know what I'm talking about??? I did some looking again but I can't seem to find it.

I'm not familiar with any. I did a search for credentials, comptia and it didn't turn up anything.

You mean ETA-I -> Online electronics certification tests, exams: ETA International . You will have to renew annually for $25/year after initially purchasing the rollovers.

That'd be the one. Do you guys think it's worth it?

I read the link and it seems like there is a lot of paying involved with the rollover and membership. My rule for deciding if something is worth it involves the amount of respect a certification has, how often it appears on monster as a job requirement, and how much my current employer wants me to get it or wants to pay for it. If you have seen it as a requirement or your employer will pay for it then I say go for it. Otherwise I don't see it as really adding anything to a resume.

Considering I have never head this certification being needed in my job field, I would not pay the money to get it even though i can.
