need tv tuner capture software

My new computer has a tv tuner (modelWinTV-HVR-1250)with a/v input ports. The problem is that there is no tv tuner capture software included. I checked the manufacturer's site and they want to sell me the software. Does anyone know of any free capture software that works for capturing from a/v inputs on a tv tuner?

I do have Media Center, but I have not found an option to record through the a/v inputs.
