Here is my configuration, PC with a moxa 8 port serial card connected to 4 routers, 3 switches via console ports. I have no other cables connected to any of the equipment. Can I telnet into them with the current configuration.

I could be wrong, but in that scenario, you would have to use your local COM ports to connect to those devices. Telnet is the wrong protocol to use.

Unless you have some kind of reverse telnet software you can use if you're trying to turn your PC into an access server....

So I'm just a little confused. Why won't this work as the same concept as a 2509/11?

It can I suppose, but you'd need the right software. You see the 2511 isn't a PC. You TELNET into the 2511, it then uses IOS software to connect to those other devices connected by the octal cable.

If you telnet into your PC, you'd need some kind of software to hook up your consoles to a telnet session.

If you're on the PC itself, then just use COM ports....
