Just curious as to how much student loan debt you have?

0 Debt. I've been going to school full time for 3 years now and also working full time (some of the time also with a part time job). I paid for school, books, and certifications all by myself.

I have done this with help though. My parents are supportive of my education, and while they don't have the money to pay for it they do allow me to live at home for nearly free, buy some food, and provide interest free loans (Few hundred to cover tuiton if I'm a little short).

Now that I am well on my way to my Computer Forensics degree and have a few certifications to my name I have found a job in the IT field that pays nearly double what I used to make at a retail store. Now I have actually started a savings account and am starting to look at apartments. Even though my parents are advising me to stay at home at least until my degree is finished.
Decide what to be and go be it.

nice work capping the debt at zero or paying it down folks. i was among the lucky ones who, while probably had no free $$$, didnt end up owing anything at the end.

well in my case, even though I got the state to cough up the cash, I don't consider it free money, and I'm reminded of why every single April when I do my state income taxes as well.

I do find some irony in the fact that the HOPE program in Georgia is funded by the lottery. A bunch of people trying to better themselves driven by cash supplied by the poor and stupid.
