The MMO "Eve Online" had an issue with a patch update that if I remember correctly over wrote an important Windows file and machines would not boot up properly -

I think the real issue is not that they had a borked signature but that this wasn't caught in QA. It seems so widespread I find it hard to believe it could be missed if any QA had been done on the update.We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?
