RS_MCPRS_MCP Member Posts: 352
Hi All,

I have decided to now move on to the CCNA Security after passing my CCNA.

If you would not mind, could you please fill me with in all the information I need to know and of course recommendations of Labs, Books, Websites, etc.

Your help is much appreciated.

Best :)

I used the Cisco Press book, the Transcender practice test engine and this place for SDM labs:

NIL - IINS 1.0 Remote Lab Bundle

I bought a weeks worth of access to the labs and went through all of them once the night before the test and I was good to go. $100 well spent IMO.

    Godspeed.

Sure you know that you have to study, I have a word, LAB, LAB, LAB, LAB, LAB, LAB, LAB and one more word, LAB...... If you lab a lot the exams is going to be easy, after your practice exams, create your own scenarios and you will pass easely

Here's a good post with links to some useful books: CCNA: Security Prep. As others have mentioned, getting access to a lab is key... especially for the SDM. Do you have lab equipment at your disposal (either at home or at work)?
