Can't seem to get AppLocker to work

I have know idea what I am doing wrong. I have a Win7 VM running in VMWare, and I have tried this on my own desktop as well. No matter what I do it does not block me from opening this program, or any others I select. I have set myself to be a local user instead of an administrator.

Oh, and I also ran gpupdate afterward.

Gpupdate is irrelevent because you arent contacting any DC's for policies to download.

I did the exact same thing you have shown in your screenshots and I got




What version of 7 are you using?

You can create applocker rules on Windows 7 Professional, but they wont actually work.

WoW! I didn't realize that! Yup, I am using Win7Pro so that is what the problem is. Thanks!
