Cheap SAN

Does anyone remembers the old post about really cheap SAN storage Units i cannot seem to remember the brand. also if any knows about any other cheap SAN technologies please let me know

    I think "cheap SAN" is an oxymoron. However, I hear drobo's got a less expensive solution.

    i remeber a post a while with a link for a SAN that ran abour 100-500dlls but i cant seem to find it

    I second the Drobo. We use them at all of our clients, and they work very well.

    I think Sans Digital sells some iSCSI SANs. If you're just looking to practice, you can use Open Filer or FreeNAS as well.

    openfiler -- nice -- free sw... NAS and iscsi target provider. just need some hw to drop it on. we use it for prod work.

    does the op want a san for work or learning/lab?
