    It's everything. From servers, to switches (HP ProCurves though.), purchasing, licensing,etc.

    Congrats. I took a similarly title position and I am part server admin, part network admin, part exchange admin, part SQL admin, part security advisor, and part upper-level desktop support. I love it, actually - I stay busy enough to not get bored. And we just implemented a switch to virtualization using vSphere4 - that is some slick stuff!
    I hope you embrace it and can find similar happiness in your job. :)

    Congrads. I am actually in the talks with my boss for VMWare training. I been working with it for last 3 years. Vmware is interesting but Cisco has a little bit more to it.
    CCNA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDST, MCITP Enterprise Administrator, Working towards Networking BS. CCNP is Next.
