I have two new Dl380 G6 servers with 48Gb of memory and 250GB drive space in a raid 10 array and a Server for Vcenter, database to be housed remote. I have been speaking with my company resource for Vmware and he says there is a forum called RTFM or something to that effect that details some really good best practices for installing ESX and Vcenter.
Vsphere 4 BTW
Questions.
1. Does anyone know the link to this forum? cant seem to find it
2. My goal is to install ESX and Vcenter this week, any tips, tricks, best practices and gotcha's you guys could throw out would be much appreciated.

This book turned out to be awesome, I got ESX and Vcenter installed today, fairly easily, had help from our DBA.
For esx here is what I came up with partition wise.
/ 25GB
/VAR 15GB
/OPT 15GB
Swap 1.8 GB
Thanks for the help guys
