BSCI Scheduled

1st attempt will be on the 21st. I will not be quite ready, but I have three vouchers that have to be used by June 6. The other two I will use on the 28th and June 4th.

I was planning on taking it "for real" at the end of June at Cisco Live, but since I can't schedule the test more than once, I will have to risk that I can get a seat after my last "practice" attempt.

    Good luck man icon_thumright.gif

I'm super jealous of you going to Live. Every year I put that in our department budget and every year it gets denied icon_rolleyes.gif

After about 15 or so certification exams, I finally failed one. 630 needed 790.

I am surprised I did as well as I did for as under prepared as I was. I got stuck on a SIM and fell so far behind I had to just random answer some of the longer questions, probably about 10 in all so I could see them all.

I will try again next week and should be much better prepared, but I am still not sure I will be there.

I spent some time this weekend labbing that SIM and working through the logic, and I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong. It was really simple, but they way Cisco put it together made it confusing, but it was a good learning experience none the less.

Ok today I got a 732 out of 790. Last week I had labed and reviewed about 20% of the topics, as of last night I have gotten up to around 50%. That's 100 points better then last week and I did not even do two of the sims. Of course they were on areas that I have not reviewed and I knew I would waist all my time working through them.

Except for Sat I will be studying all weekend icon_sad.gif Here is what I need to review and lab, Routing Optimization, DHCP, BGP, Multicast and IPv6. Hopefully I will nail the exam next Friday.

I have finally tackled the Beast, Passed with a 821 :D

All that is left is TSHOOT. I will try to get this one done at Live which gives me right at 4 weeks to study.

Awesome man! That was the same score I had. icon_thumright.gif On my 2nd attempt. First time was only failed by 7 points. Awesome job! Good luck on TSHOOT studies. I highly recommend getting a hold of the topology and labbing it from the ground up. The exam cert guide isn't going to do you much justice for this exam to be honest with you.

Congrats! There's a lot of information on this exam, so taking a couple tries is definitely common.

What's your layover time frame for your TSHOOT?

I have the kids this weekend, and I am so sick of studying. But since I only have four weeks till my Live scheduled exam, I'll start on Monday. icon_sad.gif

Someone told me that exams are free at Live if you schedule them in advance. Confirm/deny?

I am scheduled to take TSHOOT on July 1st at Live. I hope it's enough study time for a pass.

Yes, you get a promo code when you register and you get to take a free Cisco exam in a Vegas casino icon_thumright.gif. Time slots are limited so its a first come first serve.
