MCSA 2003 to MCITP:EA

I'm looking at the Road Map to obtaining my MCITP:EA and came across the following exams
70-648
70-647
70-620 (already done)
70-643
I started looking into the material for 70-648 and some topics seem like I have never came across them before. What exam would be good to start off with?

The 70-648 is a composite of the 70-640 and 70-642 and covers a lot of material but since the others kind of build off this you should probably take this one first. If you have experience with server 2k8 it should not be too hard for you. I didn't say easy though. The 70-643, unless you have a lot of 2k8 experience would be very difficult without doing the 70-648 first. The 70-647 should be your last one .

That makes sense I'll have to push forward through the material seeing as it's a 2in1 exam more material to get familar with

Think of the 70-648 is the 640 and 42. Or the MCSA equivalent of 290 and 291. It's a pain, especially if you have no experience with certificates or a server 2008 network. I took the 648 and failed it. Miserably. Not so much on the 291 type stuff, but the AD stuff for some reason. I took Security+ which I think has helped quite a bit. I'm taking the 70-648 at the end of May, so hopefully I'll get it knocked out. If not, there's always that second shot voucher I used.

That's good to know because I'm watching the video's and all I'm thinking is hmmm I don't recall any of this stuff through 290/291 so I thought I'm starting with the wrong exam. Glad to hear I'm not the only one facing these challenges..

Yeah, the 291 was tough as it is. Let alone add the 290, and all the 2008 stuff to a test. This one is by far one of the tougher tests in my opinion.
