Email Retention Laws - looking for advice
As we get closer to moving to our own internally hosted mail on Exchange 07, I was wondering if/what are the federal laws regarding email retention.
We are a government body, so I assume we cant just float along with no backup policy.
Does anyone have any resources or advice on what we are legally responsible to keep as far as email goes?

It all depends on the industry.
I worked in IT for the commercial construction field - they had a 7 year email retention policy.
