Security+
Security+ as first Security cert ?
walid97
Hi,
I recently got my CCNA. I also have A+ and Network+.
I want to add something related to security to my resume (I know nothing about Security), many people advised the Security+, but others said that it is a waste of money and time: employers won't give any attention to it.
I am confused here.. I should complete a Security certification.
What should I do ?
Any other entry level security cert other than Sec+ but that is worth the time and money ?
Thanks a lot !

I posted on this once, but here it is again.
Even if employers don't pay attention to the cert, you'll be gaining a fundamental understanding of general security concepts. You'll use those to build on what you know and obtain certs employers will definately pay attention to.
Just beware, it is a somewhat tough exam.
