New VMware certs

VMware has released two new certs: VMware Education Services

VCAP = VMware Certified Advanced Professional
  • Datacenter Administrator
  • Datacenter Design
You must get your VCP prior to VCAP.

Anyone going to do this?

    I would love to do this one day; however getting my company to put their hands in their pockets and pay for the VCP course is looking bad enough ;)

    I'm planning to take both by the end of September (they come out in July or August I believe). Less stressful then going for the VCDX!

    I'll probably take the Design one since I need to take the Design workshop anyway to fulfill partner requirements for my company.

    No required training for these, only recommended ;)

    My job responsibilities are shifting so I will unfortunately not be able to do this now. Drat.
    IT guy since 12/00

    Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
    Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
