OptionsJSK Member Posts: 166Catalyst 1900s are boat anchors in terms of usefulness for any Cisco certification. They're fine as a generic switch but they don't run IOS at all and the enterprise version of the software just has an IOS like interface.
My mistake, I meant 2900's. I believe they were 2960's to be exact. -

They're good for always being the root bridge in STP.
