Hi All,
For some reason, my Router was booting using the Configuration Register 0x2102.
The configuration was saved and I could see this in the Start UP & Running Config.
Everytime the Router was power cycled it would boot into Rommon mode.
I changed the Config Register to 0x2142, reloaded the router and lost my config!
Why did this happen?

The default should be 0x2102 as that will boot from Flash. 0x2142 will tell it to ignore the contents of NVRAM which is what it did.
Do you have an incorrect boot system entry in the configuration?
